Katherine’s funeral today on “The Young and the Restless” brought back a lot of old faces. I was lucky enough to have my Mom there to explain who all the old faces were. When she told me about Brock and how he and Jill are siblings but were romantically linked before they discovered they were related, I began to wonder: Why do soap operas love incest storylines. Almost every soap opera is guilty of this. I would think it’s such an icky subject matter that people wouldn’t touch it with a ten foot pole. But I guess that’s the good thing about soaps: they have no shame! Lucky for us.
